WBA super-featherweight “super” champion Takashi Uchiyama, an unbeaten KO artist of Japan, retained his throne as he proved his credibility by knockout unbeaten Jomthong Chuwatana with a right hand in the second round on Wednesday in Tokyo, Japan.

Uchiyama may not be a household name in the U.S., but 130 lbs. champ has now made ten defenses dating back to 2010. From the onset, Uchiyama let off an onslaught that Chuwatana tried to fight fire with fire. In the second round, the fire engulfed Uchiyama as he tried his hardest to maintain to trade with Uchiyama until a aforementioned right hand laid him out for the count as Chuwatana was motionless as he lay face first on the canvas.

Emanuel Lopez of Mexico is now the number one contender for Uchiyama’s title.
