Arum: Pacquaio’s shoulder was fine on 5/2

Manny-Pacquiao-Injured

The lawsuits are mounting as at least 32 class action lawsuits have been filed against Manny Pacquiao and Top Rank Promotions. The fight of the century which renewed the interest in boxing for the mainstream media also represented the evils of neoliberalism as the event as a whole seemed to be about maximizing profit to extreme levels rather than symbiotic relationship between fight fans (consumer) and promoters/fighters (the good).

Today, Radio Rahim of BoxingScene.com reported that Bob Arum is now saying Pacquiao was fine leading up to the fight. This is a far cry from the Arum from the post-fight presser who spoke about how Pacquiao couldn’t spar for the last two weeks of camp.

Pacquiao recently underwent shoulder surgery which should have him out of action for his shoulder injury suffered during the fight. Pacquiao, if he decides to return to the sport of boxing will come back in 2016 with Floyd Mayweather being one of the only realistic fights left.
