Well, Danny O’Connor is in luck as after losing the biggest fight of his career against Paulie Malignaggi he will fight in Boston this weekend as he faces Chris Gilbert of Vermont in a eight round welterweight battle for a regional title in the New England area.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to fight Chris in Boston,” said O’Connor. “Being able to do what I love in front of my hometown fans that have supported me since day one is very meaningful to me.”

The bout will serve as the undercard to Premier Boxing Champions on NBC show featuring the super middleweight showdown between Olympic medalists Andre Dirrell  and James DeGale  and Edwin Rodriguez  taking on the undefeated Craig Baker .
