N’Dam unhappy with elected officials for June 20th IBF fight

Per Gary Hyde, Hassan N’Dam’s manager and number 1 ranked mandatory contender for the middleweight division, have objected to two officials being named to officiate the June 20th fight against David Lemieux in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The problem lies in the fact that two of the officials are from Montreal, the same city that Lemieux is from and that the fight is being held. To really simplify things, N’Dam’s camp feels like the fight could go the distance and they want an accurate depiction of the score since they already know the scores could be funny since the crowd will seemingly react to anything Lemieux does.

N’Dam a former WBO middleweight champion who lost his title to Peter Quillin three years ago, is looking to regain a belt and possible find himself in a big money fight against Gennady Golovkin.

It seems doubtful that the officials will be changed this late in the game, but it is a noteworthy story and also something topical for this fight which happens a week from Saturday. The bout will air on U.S. airwaves on the Fox Sports 2.
