Per the WBC, WBC middleweight champ Badou Jack will make his first title defense against number one contender George Groves on August 22nd in Las Vegas, NV.  At the current time no venue is secured, but if Mayweather Promotions promotes the fight which all signs point to it will, then one might think that the MGM Grand Garden Arena might be heavily in play for that weekend. Jack who defeated middleweight champion Anthony Dirrell earlier this year in what many consider one of the bigger upset of the year.

In a somewhat unrelated note, George Groves suffered a minor head injury during a boating accident today that was announced via his promoters Twitter
