In a clash of unbeaten lightweights, Terry Flanagan (28-0, 10 KOs) won by third round TKO when Jose “Chon” Zepeda (23-1, 20 KOs) couldn’t continue due to an injury to his left shoulder on Saturday night at the Velodrome in Manchester, England. Flanagan picked up the WBO lightweight title when Zepeda was unable to answer the bell, the same belt that Ray Beltran would of won if he didn’t miss weight or test positive for banned substances in his last bout which was for the vacant title.
