Mosley-Mayorga II $49.95 on PPV?

Shane Mosley (47-9-1, 39 KOs) will take on Ricardo Mayorga (31-8-1, 25 KOs) for the second time on August 29th at The Forum in Inglewood, CA. The fight will also happen the same night as Leo Santa Cruz vs. Abner Mares happening at The Staples Center which is a mere 20 minute drive from the The Forum. On top of all of that, here is the kicker, Mosley-Mayorga will be on pay-per-view going head to head with a hotly anticipated bout, Santa Cruz vs. Mares, which will be on basic cable, ESPN, as part of Premier Boxing Champions.

So Mosley-Mayorga II will be on pay-per-view, not because it merits it, but because no television network will buy the fight. Mosley-Mayorga is not pay-per-view choice, it is more of a last resort. As the card will populate mostly from the young fighters who get a shot on the undercard in a big stage that is actually pretty cool, but the harsh reality is without knowing someone on the card, it is hard to get excited for this card
