UFC prelims pull in more viewers than PBC card on ESPN

Well, Premier Boxing Champions noticed a slight increase in ratings from their first telecast, that being said it is still very bleak news as the second outing on ESPN netted an average of 1.073 million viewers. In contrast the prelim portion of  a UFC pay-per-view headlined by Ronda Rousey broadcast on Fox Sports 1 pulled in 1.32 million viewers with not nearly the same level of star quality and attention.

This news comes somberly in as in the heart of summer with no other sports to merit television network viewers, the number seems sadly low and with the high purse one has to wonder if the Leo Santa Cruz vs. Abner Mares fight will turn the tide for Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN.
