Joshua, Whyte seem destined for December 12th clash

Olympic super heavyweight gold medalist Anthony Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) continues his knockout streak as he annihilated  unbeaten Gary Cornish (21-1, 12 KOs) on Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London. Joshua stopped Cornish in the first round needing only 97 seconds to finish the job.

Earlier unbeaten heavyweight Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KOs) scored a third round KO over Brian “The Beast” Minto (41-10, 26 KOs). Whyte displayed his power knocking down Minto with a big right hand at the end of round one as the beatdown continued for two more rounds until Minto took a knee and didn’t wish to continue.

Joshua and Whyte are now nearly set to clash on December 12 in what would be one of the biggest British heavyweight fights in UK history. Whyte beat Joshua in the amateurs which is why the bout is so heavily anticipated.
