Thompson Boxing featherweight Jose Haro suffered two gun shot wounds to the foot after an altercation with in a Wal-Mart parking lot on last Wednesday night as first reported by KUTV. Haro, a promising prospect from Utah, was accused of checking out the man who shot him, Cole Shields’ wife.

According to Haro’s wife, Yesenia Bautista, Haro was kicked by the man in the parking lot, when Haro tried to defend himself the man shot him two times, once in each foot. Haro is currently recovering and will have to undergo surgery due to the injuries sustained. A time table has been set of 4 months for Haro to recover which would put him will into 2016 when he returns, if he wants to return.
