Prograis, Zenunaj win on ShoBox

In a battle of super-lightweights, local prospect Regis Prograis (16-0, 13 KOs) scored an eighth round TKO over Abel Ramos (14-1-2, 9 KOs) on Friday night at the Bayou City Event Center in Houston, Texas. Prograis won every round until the stoppage came.

Lightweight Dardan Zenunaj (11-1, 9 KOs) scored a seventh round TKO over highly touted prospect Bryant Cruz (16-1, 8 KOs). Zenunaj knocked down Cruz in rounds four and seven, but it was when Cruz refused to answer the bell for the eighth round that the bout was waived off.

In a battle of middleweights, Steve Rolls (13-0, 7 KOs) recovered from a third round knockdown to stop Steed Woodall (8-1-1, 5 KOs) in round four. The bout was a fight of the year type fight, but since it didn’t get the viewers on a smaller platform it will not be widely regarded as that.

In the opening bout super lightweights, Ivan Baranchyk (9-0, 8 KOs) ran through Shadi Shawareb (9-1-2, 5 KOs) in the first round. Shawareb though undefeated did not even look remotely close to the same level as Baranchyk who stopped him easily with a left ook
