Eye of the Tiger Management and Golden Boy Promotions have announced that former IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux (34-3, 31 KOs) will return to his hometown, Montreal, Quebec, Canada on March 12 against San Benito, Texas’ “King” James de la Rosa (23-3, 13 KOs) at Montreal’s Olympia Theatre.

This will be his first bout since being outclassed by Gennady Golovkin on a failed pay-per-view that did less 200,000 PPV buys. The fight is rumored to be picked up by HBO.
