ShoBox ends in a draw, Potapov-Young stay undefeated

Highly rated Nikolay Potapov (14-0-1, 6 KOs) battled to a draw with game St.Louis road warrior Stephon Young (14-0-3, 6 KOs)  on Friday night at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY. Young landed the shot with more effect, while Potapov threw more punches creating an odd dichotomy that left the judges stumped. In the end, scores were 96-94 Potapov, and 95-95, 95-95.

This is Stephon Young’s second draw in his last three fights.

Lightweight Mason Menard (31-1, 23 KOs) scored a stunning third round knockout over an unbeaten, but outgunned Eudy Bernardo (21-1, 15 KOs). Menard dropped Bernardo in the second round badly, but laid him out in the third round.  Bernardo was taken out on a stretcher out of the arena. You can watch the footage highlight below

In the opening bout of ShoBox televised card unbeaten cruiserweight, Constantin Bejenaru (11-0, 4 KOs) scored an eight round unanimous decision over Alexey Zubov (10-1, 6 KOs). Bejenaru withstood a seventh round knockdown, that was only moment the fighter appeared in trouble in the bout. The judges saw the bout  77-74, 78-73, 78-73.
