Damon Allen Jr, Hector Tanajara win in LA

The 7th Annual “Big Fighters, Big Cause” Charity Boxing Night happened last night at the Ray Dolby Ballroom on Wednesday night as part of a Golden Boy Promotions event to benefit the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation, and their mission to raise funds for research and awareness towards a cure for Type 1 & Type 2 Diabetes.

In the evening’s main event, “No Smilin” Damon Allen, Jr. (10-0, 4 KOs) as he made quick work Danny Montoya (10-4, 7 KOs) stopping his foe by third-round technical knockout.

Hector “El Finito” Tanajara, Jr. (6-0, 4 KOs) of the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy earned a first round stoppage of  Francisco “El Mono” Medel (9-3, 5 KOs) after a left hook cut the power for a game Medel. Tanajara spars with Mikey Garcia, Abner Mares and many other world class professionals.

Middleweight Alexis “Laberinto” Salazar (7-3, 3 KOs) left skill at the door as he engaged in a tough fight that neglected distance control as he fight a competitive and close fight with Hector “Charro Negro” Velasquez (57-28-3, 39 KOs).

Featherweight Edgar “Kid Neza” Valerio (7-0, 4 KOs) picked up a six unanimous decision over Harold Reyes (2-5-1).
