Lomachenko, Verdejo stop foes on HBO

In just his seventh pro fight, WBO featherweight world champion Vasyl Lomachenko (6-1, 3 KOs) became a two-weight world champion as he outclassed WBO junior lightweight world champion Roman “Rocky” Martinez (29-2-2, 17 KOs) by five round KO on Saturday night at the Theater at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Lomachenko was too much for Martinez who simply had no answer for anything Lomachenko threw other than fall down, he did in the fifth round.

Lightweight Felix “El Diamante” Verdejo (21-0, 15 KOs) picked up his first stoppage win on HBO scoring a fifth round TKO over Juan Jose “Piquet” Martinez (25-3, 17 KOs). Verdejo dominated the whole fight.
