Jose Haro wins regional title, Tony Johnson loses in Utah

At the Davis Conference Center in Layton, Utah, Saturday night ITRBoxing.com friend, Jose Haro won the American Boxing Association featherweight title with a fourth-round KO over game journeyman Sergio Najera. A body shot felled Najera for the count. Last year, it was unclear if Haro would continue boxing after being shot in the foot in a parking lot altercation. This was Haro’s first fight back after being shot

In the co-main event, cruiserweight Jesse West, 8-1, scored his biggest win of his career defeating BKB cruiserweight champion “Big” Tony Johnson, 8-1, of San Jose, CA, who trains out of Undisputed Boxing Gym in San Carlos, CA. Johnson had been out of action for nearly a year.
