Fabian Maidana gets KO in first headlining card

Welterweight Fabian “TNT” Maidana (10-0, 7 KOs), brother of famed fighter Marcos Maidana, scored the biggest win of his career a sixth round TKO over Jorge “Machito” Maysonet (13-2, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in San Antonio, Texas. Maidana walked into a punch he shouldn’t have that busted him up, but beat the heck out of Maysonet for doing so until the sixth round saw the fight get called off.

In other televised action middleweight Alan Castano (11-0, 7 KOs) outworked Aaron Garcia (15-6-1, 10 KOs) over the course eight rounds. The judges saw the fight 78-74 on all three cards

Super bantamweight Brandon Figueroa (9-0, 6 KOs), 19-year-old brother of Omar Figueroa, scored a third round KO over Adalberto Zorrilla (6-2, 6 KOs) to start the telecast
