Felix Verdejo ordered to fight Terry Flanagan for WBO lightweight title

Frank Warren released a statement to BoxingScene.com, that explains that Top Rank CEO Bob Arum has asked about Warren’s interest in a bout between WBO lightweight world champion Terry Flanagan and Top Rank rising star Felix Verdejo.

The WBO has also ordered this bout, meaning that for Flanagan to keep his world title, he will need to take the bout, but Warren explains that a unification of Dejan Zlaticanin, who holds the WBC lightweight world title.

That being said it appears that Flanagan and Verdejo appears as close to being made as possible and is a true 50-50 fight as in many ways Flanagan has over-performed to this point his career, whereas Verdejo has dramatically underperformed as well.
