Mikey Garcia stops Elio Rojas in comeback fight

In a strange fight, Mikey Garcia (35-0 29KOs) showed every bit of ring rust in the first two rounds of a ten round comeback fight against Elio Rojas (24-3 14KOs) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Garcia would bounce back from his two rounds of rust by dropping Rojas twice in the third round.

The fourth round saw Garcia hurt Rojas again as the power neutralized as Rojas once again took a seat on the canvas. Rojas would make it out of the round, but not much further as Garcia would stop the bout in the fifth after knocking Rojas would fall face first to the canvas and then get dropped by a left hook even with a full guard blocking the punch sending him to the canvas.

Garcia stated afterwards he plans on fighting for a world title in the near future at lightweight and that he would love to fight for the WBO world title, because if he wins the title in three divisions he gets a ring.
