Lightweight Felix Verdejo (22-0, 15 KOs) was injured after a one-person motorcycle accident in Puerto Rico. According to a local paper El Nuevo Dia, Verdejo lost control of his motorcycle and took a tumble to the concrete. Despite wearing a helmet, Verdejo also suffered head trauma as well.

The accident all, but ruins Top Rank’s vision of putting Verdejo as the opening bout on pay-per-view to take on WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan on the Manny Pacquiao-Jessie Vargas November 5 PPV card.
