The man many feel gave Floyd Mayweather Jr. his hardest fight of his career, has officially called it a day as he announced his retirement via social media today. Maidana, who was most known for his memorable losses to Floyd Mayweather and Amir Khan, both of which left a lengthy debate about who won the bout.

Maidana was most known for beating Adrien Broner in the height of his prime on a stacked Showtime card in Texas.
