Jacobs stops Mora, Easter Jr wins first title

WBA “regular” middleweight world champion Daniel “The Miracle Man” Jacobs (31-1, 28 KOs) successfully defended his title in a rematch with a seventh round TKO over former junior middleweight champion Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora (28-4-2, 9 KOs) on Friday night at the Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Jacobs who looked nothing short of spectacular with his performance dropping Sergio Mora five times. Mora was badly hurt in the sixth round and survived until the seventh round when he was stop later in the round.

The opening bout was a very good affair that saw Robert Easter Jr (18-0 14KOs) score a 12 split decision Richard Commey (24-1 22KOs). The bout saw back and forth action with Commey landing a good solid straight right and Easter Jr counteracting that with a right uppercut that seemingly landed cleaner then Commey’s work.

The judges saw the bout 114-113 for Commey with the other two judges having the bout 114-113 and 115-112 with the win Easter Jr is the IBF lightweight champion.
