Nathan Cleverly wins WBA title in Germany

Former world champion Nathan Cleverly (30-3, 16 KOs) defeated WBA light heavyweight champion Jürgen Brähmer (48-3, 35 KOs) with a seventh round TKO on Saturday night at the Jahnsportforum in Neubrandenburg, Germany.

The fight was decent while it lasted with both fighters for standing next to each other and punching with defense essentially thrown to the wayside.

The fight was stopped in the seventh round when Brahmer was unable to continue after an injury.
