Erick De Leon wins by KO on Top Rank card

Super featherweight Erik De Leon (14-0, 8 KOs) picked up a third round KO over less known Aldimar Silva (19-11, 12 KOs) on Friday night at the Laredo Energy Center in Laredo, Texas. De Leon dropped Silva twice in round two and got the stoppage after another knockdown early in round three. De Leon prior to the bout had called for a step-up in competition.

Brazilian Olympian middleweight “Pantera” Esquiva Falcao (15-0, 12 KOs) picked up a TKO victory as well over Gerardo Ibarra (14-4, 8 KOs) of Houston who didn’t answer the bell to start the seventh round.

Welterweight Arturo Marquez (5-0, 3 KOs) outpointed Stephen Bass (1-4, 0 KOs) over four rounds by scores of 39-37, 39-37, 40-36. This was Marquez’s first fight since a majority decision win in Lemoore, CA that ITRBoxing.com was present for.
