San Mateo teen seeks funding to make it to Junior Olympics

14 year-old Steve “Stevie” Johnson III has only been boxing for a few years, but has made it count.

Johnson, who now trains at B St. Boxing Gym in San Mateo, Ca under the tutelage of famed former fighter and trainer, Eddie Croft.

Johnson is now trying to compete to be the best in the country after winning the regional crown as the best in Northern California, the problem right now is simply money.

Johnson, whom hopes to compete in the last week of June in Charleston, West Virginia, but despite fighting at a high level, amateur boxing doesn’t pay for your expenses as you have to compete for free.

If you would like to support Johnson, who is a 2020 Olympics hopeful, you can do so below.
