Lomachenko-Marriaga fight August 5th in LA, Nor Cal fighters on undercard
WBO super featherweight championVasyl Lomachenko (8-1, 6 KOs) and widely considered one of the best boxers in the sport today will defend his title against one of the most dangerous foes in the division Miguel Marriaga (25-2, 21 KOs) in a 12-round bout from the Mircosoft Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, which will take place at LA Live.
Lomachenko, who in his last two outings saw him stop a former world champion in Nicholas Walters as well as Jason Sosa, essentially knocking out two of the biggest punchers in the division.
Marriaga, who is labeled as a gatekeep of the division, is no easy outing for anyone as he nearly beat Oscar Valdez at the StubHub Center earlier this year as well as knocked out rising featherweight prospect Guy Robb in late 2016.
The undercard will feature lightweight Ray Beltran taking on Bryan Vasquez in a competitive co-main event.
Also featured on the card will be Christopher Diaz of Puerto Rico, Esquiva Falcao of Brazil, Erick De Leon of Detriot, Michigan, Arnold Barboza Jr will face San Francisco, Ca’s Jonathan Chicas, Andy Vences of San Jose, CA, Maxim Dadashev as well as Olympian Mikaela Mayer will make her pro debut.
