Figueroa Jr, Robert Guerrero make weight ahead of Fox clash

by Kevin Horn

Tomorrow night in the newly re-opened Nassau Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York, boxing returns to Long Island with a stacked night of action.

The card headlined by undefeated Omar Figueroa, a former lightweight champion moving up to welterweight after a series of missed weight fiascos is taking on veteran Robert Guerrero whose career is seemingly on the line after a series of losses, most notably losing to unknown journeyman David Peralta in his last bout.

The co-main event features two undefeated New Yorkers doing battle as 2012 U.S. Olympian Marcus Browne will face Seanie Monaghan in a battle that seemingly should put someone in line for a title shot.

The fight is promoted by Lou DiBella’s DiBella Entertainment and will be broadcast nationally on Fox at 8 PM EST/ 5 PM PST with coverage after the main card switching over to FS1.

Doors are at 4 PM.
