Jean Pascal upsets prospect Ahmed Elibiali on FS1

In an entertaining main event from Hialeah Park in Miami, Florida and broadcast on FS1 former light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal (32-5-1, 19 KOs) stopped previously unbeaten light heavyweight Ahmed Elbiali (16-1, 13 KOs) in six rounds. Eliabi seemed be caught up in the emotion and the gravity of the fight as he started strong, but abandoned his jab early and often. An aging veteran, Pascal caught Eliabi coming in repeatedly with counter left hooks and overhand rights which eventually forced the stoppage

Heavyweight contender Luis “King Kong” Ortiz (28-0, 24 KOs) scored a second-round KO over an outclassed Daniel Martz (16-6-1, 13 KOs). Martz was dropped in the first and stopped in the second round. After the fight, Ortiz and currently WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder had an awkward segment implying that he will fight Wilder next.

The broadcast started with featherweight Stephan Fulton (12-0, 5 KOs) scoring an eight round majority decision over Adam Lopez (8-0, 3 KOs) over eight rounds. Scores were 76-76, 78-74, 77-75.
