IBF Flyweight champion Donnie Nietes successfully defended his title against Juan Carlos Reveco in a bout that he dominated from start to finish and forced Reveco to have to fight defensively as Nietes was soundly in control in front of a packed house at the Forum in Inglewood, CA. 

Nietes most notable work came in the third round in which Nietes landed solid body punches that slowed down Reveco as the pace of the fight slowed and Nietes began to take over. Nietes landed a punishing right hand that should have ended the fight at the end of the sixth. Nietes would drop Reveco who shouldn’t have been allowed to answer the bell and the fight was called of by the corner once Reveco got up.
