Vasyl Lomachenko stops Jorge Linares to make history

Boxing superstar Vasyl Lomachenko is now walking the path few have walked previously after stopping WBA lightweight champion Jorge Linares in the tenth round of their world championship bout from Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.

The bout was closely contested as Lomachenko and Linares battled in competitive rounds until Jorge Linares dropped Vasyl Lomachenko in the sixth round of the bout with a few seconds before the round was over. Lomachenko would recover and despite possibly being behind on some of the scorecards would stop Jorge Linares with a perfectly timed liver shot that dropped Linares and put him down for the count.

With the victory, Lomachenko has now become a three-division world champion with only twelve fights.
