Gabe Flores Jr opponent set for September 14th fight

Blue-chip Top Rank lightweight Gabe Flores Jr (9-0 5KOs) will be taking a step-up in competition as he takes on Roger Gutierrez (7-1-1 4KOs) which will be a televised swing bout on the September 14th Top Rank Inc. card from The Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA.

Flores, who is only 18 years old as well as a recent graduate in the Class of 2018 at Cesar Chavez High School in Stockton, California, is a highly rated American prospect. Flores looks to campaign at 130 lbs and go for a regional title next year. Flores, a member of the TEAM U.S.A. junior national team in 2015 and 2016, as well as winning national titles more than ten times.

Gutierrez is a regional fighter, but a good one in that regard. Gutierrez has headlined cards on the regional circuit and is a game opponent, who is fearless and fights with a lot of heart.

The bout is a solid step-up in competition for the 18-year-old Flores, who is looking for his tenth win.
