Sacramento’s Xavier Martinez fights Saturday in Las Vegas

Sacramento, Ca featherweight Xavier Martinez, who is signed to Mayweather Promotions, returns this Saturday night at the Sam’s Town Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Martinez might be the best fighter in Northern California, but his inactivity and lack of exposure on major television platforms have hindered fans from getting to know him.

Martinez returns this Saturday on a Facebook stream by his promoter, Mayweather Promotions. Typically, these regional cards by Mayweather Promotions were dark shows, meaning no television distribution and just for those in attendance, but with the spike in content creation via Facebook, the promotion is using the platform to help gain exposure to their fighters.

The Sacramento fighter though looks to make a statement as he faces Oscar Bravo, best known for his split decision loss to Saul “Neno” Rodriguez, in a fight a lot of ringside pundits scored for Bravo over the A-side, Bravo.

Martinez is trained by legendary Sacramento, Ca boxing coach Ray Woods.

The bout serves as a step-up in competition as this will be his fourth eight-round fight with a solid performance, Martinez could bump up to the highly desirable 10-round bracket of a fighter making him a main event and/or co-main event fighter.
