Adam Piccolotti beats James Terry at Bellator 206

Half Moon Bay, Ca’s Adam Piccolotti is one step closer to a world title fight as the American Kickboxing Academy prodigy defeated James Terry on the undercard of  Mousasi vs. MacDonald at the SAP Center in San Jose, CA, shown worldwide on the Dazn streaming app.

Piccolotti, one of the main sparring partners for UFC lightweight world champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, outstruck Terry with technical punches and kicks that controlled the distance.

The judges mostly agreed with my opinion as two out of the three scored the bout 30-27 with one outlier scoring it, 29-28.

The win puts Piccolotti in line to face either a man he was scheduled to fight last year, the Bellator lightweight champion, Brent Primus as well as perennial top Bellator fighter and former world champion, Michael Chandler
