Brandon Adams wins The Contender, beats Shane Mosley Jr.

In the final episode The Contender Season 5 on EPIX, middleweight Brandon Adams (21-2, 13 KOs) scored a one-sided ten round unanimous decision over Shane Mosley Jr. (13-3, 10 KOs) to claim the $250,000 prize and a top ten WBA world rating on Friday night at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Adams was far too much for his longtime friend, Shane Mosley Jr., who had no answer for the constant pressure and volume of Adams. Mosley was cut later in the fight by a punch, but refused to be stopped.

The judges saw the bout 99-91, 100-90 and 100-90.

In the co-main event, middleweight Eric Walker (18-2, 8 KOs) defeated Michael Moore (17-3, 7 KOs) over eight rounds. Walker was a star of the show as he displayed his skills and an unbelievable story to the masses. Walker after the bout stated he hoped to bring boxing back to Louisiana with his good friend Regis Prograis.

The scores for this bout were 80-73, 80-72 and 80-72.

Fresno, Ca’s Marcos Hernandez got a six-round decision win over Quantavious Cash in the untelevised undercard portion of the card.
