Prospect of the Year (under 10 fights) Chris Colbert

Chris Colbert is a unique fighter in the sense that he has fought at least three step-up bouts before he has had ten professional fights. The New York native who came off immature in the Jay Bulger doc “Counterpunch”, has done a feat not a lot of fighters prior to him have, in fighting a lot of undefeated fighters early and winning.

Colbert’s crowning achievement this year was defeating undefeated prospect Austin Dulay using his jab to control the range and batter Dulay which caused the bout to be halted in the seventh round.

Colbert has fought four undefeated figthers in his first nine fights, and goes by the moniker “Lil B-Hop” as an homage to boxing legend Bernard Hopkins.
