Stan Martyniouk picks up a win, ready to face best in the world

Stan Martyniouk is a fighter that despite a great amateur background has not gotten his shot as professional…yet!

Martyniouk at age thirty-three is still in his prime, as for most of his twenties, Martyniouk was stuck between a rock and a hard place, when it came to getting fights. From the outside looking in, Martyniouk spent a good chunk of the early part of this decade as a sparring partner to Andre Berto, Amir Khan and other big name fighters, while training with Virgil Hunter, but all the while, not getting fights. Martyniouk, in fact only had seven fights in four years, which may seem like a lot, but for a 9-0 prospect, that is not the terms of activity you’d hope for.

Martyniouk is now feeling better than ever, and hoping to make his dreams of becoming a world champion a reality.

“I feel better than ever, and I am a late bloomer in the sport of boxing, it is all coming together right now. I am better than ever.” said Martyniouk in an exclusive with ITRBoxing.com.

Martyniouk, who has been one of the main sparring partners for Terence Crawford over the past couple of years, is confident that his wisdom, conditioning and pedigree will take him to the next level.

“I have been around the best, I know what I am capable of, and I have a team around me that believes in me and supports me.”

Martyniouk has recently started training with Kris “Lightning” Lopez of Oakland, Ca, recently and has the world famous SNAC System nutrition brand and elite training facility run by Victor Conte as his team.

“I feel I am better than ever, and now is my time to make a name for myself.”

Martyniouk is now as active as ever as he picked up back to back wins in Mexico in hopes of getting a chance at a regional title or even a title that could get him ranked by a sanctioning body.

“The goal is to win a world title, I know I had some rust, but I have shaken off with my last two knockout victories in Mexico. Now it is time for me to test myself against the best in the world.”
