Pittsburg, Ca’s “Chema” Delgado Fights To A Draw In Texas

Pittsburg, California’s own Jose Maria “Chema” Delgado (6-0-4, 2 KOs)), fought to a draw with Texas’ Armando Frausto (8-1, 5 KOs), taking place at the Galveston Island Convention Center, in Galveston, Texas, promoted by Zurdo Promotions, and broadcast on FITE TV, last Friday.

Delgado can’t catch a break, as despite a very misleading stat of 6 wins in Mexico, and 4 draws in the United States, Delgado has been the one imposing his will in all of his bout that were ruled a draw, and it simply came down to, perception – of do you favor the aggressor, or the work of the boxer.

The ABO featherweight title was on the line for this bout, and will remain vacant.

Delgado was one of the main sparring partners for Abner Mares when he fight Jesus Cuellar, and currently trains at Double Trouble Boxing Gym in Antioch, California, with Daniel and Dario Castillo, the twin brothers, who were also professional boxers.
