In episode one of ‘The Amateurs’, we look at Jairo Escobar’s group of fighters which includes Edwin Mendoza and Will Shaw as they travel two hours from San Francisco to Salinas to compete. The show looks at things the fan of the professional fight game don’t often see and help to better expand the understanding of how complicated it is getting an amateur fights and how statements like “oh, he just needs more amateur fights” can be frustrating. This will be an ongoing series on ITRBoxing that appears sporadically.
