Manuel “Tino” Avila at the Beautiful Brawlers Boxing Gym in Pacifica, CA

Golden Boy Promotions has announced that unbeaten super bantamweight Manuel “Tino” Avlia will now take on Erik Ruiz  in a 10-round bout on May 7 at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. Ruiz replaces previously announced main event fighter Rolly Lunas, who had to withdraw from the fight. The fight will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1, Avila was originally suppose to be on the May 30th telecast, but due to the San Francisco, CA venue not getting approved for a permit Avila was pushed back to the following week to headline a card in LA.
