Erkan Teper knocks out David Price in two rounds
Unbeaten heavyweight Erkan Teper (15-0, 10 KOs) scored a spectacular second round KO over the heavily favored David Price (19-3, 16 KOs) to claim the vacant European title on Friday night at MHP Arena in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Teper rushed Price in the first round setting a tough pace that seemed to fatigue the much bigger fighter in Price. This was culminated by Teper cutting Price open at the end of the round.
Teper would stop Price in the second round with a left hook that left Price motionless on his back looking up at the lights. This is Price’s third knockout loss of his career the first two coming to dog of war, Tony Thompson who knocked him out twice in 2013, since then Price has been rebuilt for “a big fight” which seems all for not after the most recent loss.
