*CLASH OF THE OLYMPIANS: PAYANO VS WARREN, AUG 2ND!*
PBC ( Premier Boxing Champions) is everywhere! This Sunday, August 2nd is the debut of PBC on Bounce TV, which is looking to showcase the sports rising stars, and future champions. What better way to start off the debut than with former Olympians. World champion Juan Carlos Payano, a two-time Dominican Olympian, is looking to defend his 118-pound title against three-time U.S. Olympian Rau’shee Warren.
This 118-pound clash of southpaws matches former Olympians, one who is coming off his crowning achievement and another looking to steal his thunder.
Juan Carlos Payano (16-0, 8 KOs) is 11 months removed from winning a sixth-round technical decision in September that dethroned long-reigning champion Anselmo Moreno.
Cincinnati’s own Warren (13-0, 4 KOs), 28, is the only three-time U.S. Olympic boxer in history, and the first member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic team to challenge for a world title.
PBC – The Next Round broadcast will also include two 10-round fights in the 154-pound division: Cuban Olympic medalist Yudel Johnson (17-1, 9 KOs) takes on hard-hitting Jorge Cota (24-1, 22 KOs), while Olympian John Jackson (19-2, 15 KOs) battles veteran Filipino southpaw Dennis Laurente (49-5, 30 KOs). The winners of those bouts will face off at a later date.
