Adrien “The Problem” Broner (30-2, 22 KOs)  is returning to his hometown to face Khabib “The Hawk” Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9 KOs) for the WBA Super Lightweight title on Saturday, October 3. The bout will be live on Showtime, and will be up against a highly anticipated HBO card , Matthysse vs Postol.

Adrien is excited to once again to fight in front of his hometown, and also for another title shot, and  if victorious he will be a four division champion by the age of 26. Both Broner, and Allakhverdiev alike enter the fight coming off of losses, Broner (30-2, 22 KO) to Shawn Porter in June and Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9 KO) to Jessie Vargas.  Ironically the belt these guys are fighting for is the WBA belt Jessie Vargas vacated.

The undercard bout will feature IBF Super Featherweight Champion Jose Pedraza (20-0, 12 KO), defending his title against veteran Edner Cherry (34-6, 19 KO).
