This afternoon on Twitter lineal light-heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson tweeted that he will be making his light-heavyweight WBC title defense against Thomas Williams Jr. on July 16th.

Thomas Williams Jr. stopped Edwin Rodriguez earlier this year in a mild upset on FOX that saw Rodriguez get KOed in the second round after hurting Williams Jr.

This will be Stevenson first time back in the ring for 2016. Adonis Stevenson last fought last September when he stopped Tommy Karpency
