Orozco stops Gibson, Gesta outlasts Gonzalez

Junior welterweight Antonio Orozco (26-0 17KOs) picked up the biggest in of his long career stopping heavily touted prospect KeAndre Gibson (16-1 7KOs) in front of a nearly sold-out crowd at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Orozco lived up to his nickname relentless as he pushed the pace early on Gibson, who seemed content to sit on the ropes and not fire off effective counter strikes. In the fourth round, Orozco landed a damaging shot on Gibson that stopped him after dominating the first three rounds.

In the co-main event,  Mercito Gesta (30-1-2, 16 KOs) scored a dominant 10 round decision over Gilberto Gonzalez (27-4, 22 KOs). In round three Gesta was knocked down by Gonzalez, outside of that Gesta outboxed Gonzalez who kept his hands at his waist and was picked off by Gesta.

The judges saw the bout 99-91, 98-92, 96-93.
