Shafikov, Ceballo and Bohachuk win a top Hollywood Fight Nights

Former world title contender lightweight Denis Shafikov picked up an eight-round decision win over durable and game professional opponent Hector Saurez in the main event of 360 Promotions weekday event from The Avalon in Hollywood, Ca.

Shafikov who was coming off a devastating split decision loss to Rene Alvarado made his return to the ring picking up some hard fought rounds and getting a win under his belt. The win wasn’t anything to write home about, but it was a win nonetheless and if you get enough of those you will get an opportunity.

The co-main event saw welterweight Brian Ceballo continues to look like a solid professional as he hurt Adan Ahumada in the fourth and final round, but picked up a four-round decision. Ceballo is showing experience and poise well beyond his years as he able to control a fight with a jab and fight very intelligent. Quite simply Ceballo impresses me a lot.

Super welterweight Serhii Bohachuk picked up a second-round KO over Cesar Berumen. Bonachuk still continues to look the same, very lumbering and powerful, but very limited with a seek-and-destroy mentality with no plan b at all.

Other results, Louisa Hawton picked up a fifth-round technical knockout of Elvina Trevino, Elvina White picked up a four-round decision over Annette Pabello, Luis Rosales picked up a six-round decision over Roberto Pucheta, Mario Ramos got a sixth-round TKO stoppage over Guadalupe Arroyo.
