Tevin Farmer stops James Tennyson for first title defense
IBF super featherweight world champion Tevin Farmer made his first title defense of his belt he won earlier this year against Billy Dib as he stopped tough Northern Ireland veteran James Tennyson in their title bout at the TD Garden in Boston, Mass.
Farmer was the much classier boxer of the two with terrific movement and an investment in body punches seemed too much as Tennyson winged shots in mostly to air as Farmer seemingly landed at will, landing at 2:1 ratio.
Farmer dropped him in the fourth round with a great body shot that nearly stopped Tennyson, the following round, the fifth, another body shot sent Tennyson to the floor with the referee stepping in.
Farmer has been vocally calling Gervonta “Tank” Davis, could this be next?
