Servania, Adames, Conceicao added to Oscar Valdez card in Jan. 12th

On Saturday, January 12th, 2019, from the Convention Center from Tucson, Arizona, Top Rank Inc along with Peltz Boxing Promotions, will promote WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez’s return after a broken jaw as he looks to defend his title against Andoni Gago, which will be broadcast on ESPN.

Valdez suffered a broken jaw in his last bout against Scott Quigg, minor details Quigg missed weight by two pounds and seemed much larger in the ring, that night. Valdez since has left longtime trainer Manny Robles and switched Eddy Reynoso, the head coach of Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. Valdez is looking to make the fifth defense of his WBO featherweight world title.

The undercard which is nearly complete features former world title challenger Genesis Servania, who lost to Oscar Valdez a year and a half ago in the same venue, undefeated welterweight Carlos Adames, undefeated super bantamweight Carlos Castro, 2016 Olympic gold medalist super featherweight Robson Conceicao, super lightweight Fazliddin Gaibnazarov and super middleweight Steven Nelson as well as regional talent from the Arizona area.
