Jaime Munguia’s next title defense will be in Mexico

Jaime Munguia has his next fight set as the WBO junior middleweight world champion looks to make his fourth defense of his world title on April 13th at the Arena Monterrey in Mexico against an opponent to be named later reported Miguel Rivera of BoxingScene.com, after speaking to Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions.

Munguía defeated Takeshi Inoue on Saturday night in a competitive bout, but also one that begged to question, how world-class the world champion, Munguia is. We have seen Munguia’s power largely get him to the point he is at, but as a world champion, soon he’ll have to face some of the more formidable of the division.

This will be a voluntary defense for Munguia, as he will make his next mandatory later this year against Dennis Hogan.

The contest is reportedly going to be a voluntary defense, before making his mandtaory obligation against Dennis Hogan in the second half of 2019.
