Deontay Wilder faces Bermane Stiverne in title rematch (New York)
WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder will rematch the man he defeated to win the belt, Bermane Stiverne, this Saturday, November 4th, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The bout was originally supposed to be against heavyweight Luis Ortiz, but the WBC pulled him from the bout due to a violation of their clean boxer program. Stiverne filled in for Ortiz on roughly a month’s notice, the first fight saw Wilder thoroughly outbox Stiverne.
The co-main event features former welterweight world champion Shawn Porter taking on rugged veteran Adrian Granados for the WBC silver welterweight title, which would put the winner of the bout in line to fight Keith Thurman, the WBC welterweight world champion.
The television card features junior welterweight Sergey Lipinets facing Akihiro Kondo for the vacant IBF junior welterweight title.
The undercard also features heavyweight Dominic Breazeale taking on Eric Molina, the best women’s boxer in the world right now Amanda Serrano, light heavyweight Seanie Monaghan and a battle of unbeaten fighters when Chris Colbert fights Titus Williams
