Lemieux drops N’Dam four times to gain IBF belt

In a fight that felt like deju vu of Hassan N’dam’s performance against Peter Quillin, David Lemieux dropped Hassan N’dam four times enroute to a decision in a fight he stayed competitive in.

Without the knockdowns the judges would of scored the bout slightly in favor of Lemieux and even one judge having it a draw. N’dam was dropped in the second, twice in the fifth and again in the seventh, but like N’Dam has shown throughout his career he has an uncanny ability to get up off the canvas and not be stopped.

Lemieux is now the IBF middleweight champion and though some might be eager to see him in with Gennady Golovkin, one might wonder if Oscar De La Hoya who seems to be in need of some stars might not be too keen on that idea as Lemieux is one of his few champions at the moment.

The final scores were 15-109, 115-109, and 114-110 all in favor of David Lemieux.
